Cervical laminectomy

A cervical laminectomy involves removing bone from the back of the neck vertebrae to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerves. It is often used to treat cervical spinal stenosis or myelopathy. Symptoms may include neck pain, arm weakness, or balance problems. The procedure creates more space for neural structures. The goal is to prevent further neurological decline and relieve symptoms.
