Chiari malformation

Chiari malformation is a condition where part of the brain extends into the spinal canal. This can disrupt normal flow of cerebrospinal fluid and compress brain and spinal structures. Symptoms may include headaches, balance problems, and neck pain. Some patients may also experience swallowing or coordination difficulties. Treatment may include surgical decompression.
