Carpal tunnel syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve is compressed as it passes through the wrist. This can lead to numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand and fingers. Symptoms are often worse at night or with repetitive hand use. It is commonly caused by repetitive motion, inflammation, or wrist anatomy. Treatment ranges from splints and therapy to surgery.
